Back in the harbor again.
Today was pretty typical. Me and Ryan drove home, we visited my grandparents in winterton. I read a novel (Two Way Street - Lauren Barnholdt. Pretty good, nothing outstanding) and then edited a couple chapters in my own novel. Boring stuff.
Last night, however, was amazing. Super amazing. We went to City and Colour, who I’ve never listened to before but it was a good concert. Dallas Green is so damn charming! After, Ryan and Tiff and Shawn (Shaun? Sean? I don’t know how he spells it. Im gonna call him new boything) were supposed to meet me and TLB at the Shamrock but it was packed so we ended up at Greensleeves, where Todd Scott was playing. We have kind of a funny history with Todd Scott. He beat Ryan in an open mike competition last year and now Ryan jokes that they’re arch nemesises. Anyway, he’s okay but the guy who played with him is even better.
It was a pretty good situation altogether and we were having a laugh when Gavin and mitchell showed up. Gavin and Mitchell are two guys I went to school with. There’s some weird stuff between me and Gavin because, before me and Ryan got on the go there was a couple of nights when Gavin walked me home from the bar and there was some hand holding and etc. Then, Ryan asked me out and I basically ditched Gavin without telling him. I didn’t think it was a big deal, since we were always just drunk and flirting but Gavin wasn’t too happy about it. Anyway, were both over it and still friends but sometimes it’s a bit awkward and a lot of the time it feels like he doesn’t actually want to hang out with me but he’s a good guy and does it anyway. Once, when we were drunk I asked him about it and he said that’s he’s just an awkward person (which is true) and that my friends are a bit intimidating and he doesn’t know what to say a lot (half true).
So anyway, we were all partying and then Caitlin showed up and we all decided to head back to the Shamrock. Mitchell came with us but we lost Gavin. He was having girl problems somewhere. So, we went and watched the last of Middle Tickles set and drank and THEN we decided to go to Jungle Jims. By this time it was only me Ryan TLB Caitlin and Jordan (Caitlins boyfriend). Mitchell left to find Gavin and go to Liquid, which doesn’t close until like, 5am. We went to Jungle Jims and ate EVERYTHING. It was great hanging out with Caitlin, who I’ve known since childhood, and we stayed for a long time. It was 5am by the time me TLB and Ryan got back to Pugey’s.
Deff the best night downtown I’ve had in forever. We can’t wait to go back in! This is all very rambly but trust me, it was a good night.
